These entrance posts were made in 2007/8 and were made for Taunton Deane Borough Council, as part of their programme of improving local outdoor play areas. We worked with pupils from Holy Trinity Primary and Holway Primary schools who made the first stage of the clay tiles, based on the foliage and seeds from trees in the local area, of which also the local streets are named after. The artists then made any subsequent tiles, fired and glazed each stoneware tile and designed and mosaiced the final posts. The base of the moasic consists of a steel frame, set on a charred oak post.
